For Services and Resources in French Polynesia

The Tahiti Cruisers Guide is brought to you by Julien Desmont from Xperimental and Chuck Houlihan from Jacaranda. Starting as an idea based on the very successful Panama City Cruisers guide, it has evolved into 200+ pages of information on vendors and services throughout French Polynesia. In January 2018, we added GPS coordinates and links to Google Maps to assist in locating businesses.

Downloading the guide and GPS map coordinates will facilitate using the guide offline. The coordinates will work for either Maps.me (best for Papeete) or Google Maps.

Especially thankful to John (SV Mary Ann II) and Steve (SV Ocean Star) for their huge effort in supplying a vast amount of information for the guide.

The guide is a community effort. Updates and new additions are greatly appreciated. If you find the guide useful or find something that needs updating please drop us a note at tahiticruisersguide (AT) gmail.com

Highly recommend Adrián to care for your boat. He watched my boat for 4 months while I was away, I received regular reports and pictures, and everything he cared for was in great shape upon my return. He’s THE guy.

September 2022 - Adrian did an exceptional job watching our boat for nearly two months while we were out of country.  He sent regular reports (including photos) and was responsive to questions.  At our request, he arranged for our props to be cleaned and ensured the diver used the specific scrub pad we provided.  He even took the initiative to use sikaflex to reattach a small grill over a ventilation opening when he noticed it had fallen off after our temporary ‘repair’ failed.  We appreciate his attention to detail, his commitment to doing good work, and the way he follows through on the tasks he’s assigned.  Adrian is a solid guy, a true professional, and he has our strong recommendation.

Ziskakan.  Adrian at Taina Boat Watch did an excellent job taking care of our boat while we spent time away from Tahiti. He was communicative, knowledgeable, and always gave us professional service, sending us regular updates with any important information and making sure that our boat was in tip top shape for our return. Due to personal matters we had to leave our boat empty for six months per year for a number of years. It gave us tremendous peace of mind to know that we had someone with Adrian’s work ethic and expertise to care for it while we were away.
